Facelift Procedures
SMAS or deep plane facelifts, chosen by your aging pattern, with incisions placed in the hairline and around the ear to follow natural creases.
Facelift in NYC with Dr. Leonard Grossman, a Brooklyn plastic surgeon who has rejuvenated faces with patients’ own fat since 1993. He recommends a SMAS or deep plane facelift based on your aging pattern, often combined with fat grafting to restore lost volume, and avoids the pulled “wind tunnel” look.

Facelift and related facial procedures, combined as your face needs, at Dr. Grossman’s Brooklyn surgery center.
SMAS or deep plane facelifts, chosen by your aging pattern, with incisions placed in the hairline and around the ear to follow natural creases.
Purified fat from your abdomen or thighs restores the cheeks, temples and jawline, with or without a lift, planned from your younger photos.
Corset platysmaplasty, ultrasound-assisted liposuction and Renuvion skin tightening to define the jaw and neck, alone or with a facelift.
An incision inside the mouth with a small temple-hairline incision, or fat grafting, to lift the midface and support the lower eyelids.
Reserved for genuinely low or asymmetric brows; aging brows are often better served by restoring volume with fat.
Upper and lower blepharoplasty under local anesthesia or with sedation; lower-lid fat can often be removed from inside the lid.
Dr. Leonard Grossman does not see facial aging as gravity at work; he sees it as volume loss. That is why his facelifts often combine a SMAS or deep plane lift with fat grafting, planned in advance from photos of you at a younger age. The incision follows the hairline and the natural creases around the ear for minimal visible scarring, and skin is removed without undue tension, so the result looks rested and natural rather than windswept.

His fat transfer gallery includes women in their 60s, 70s and 80s rejuvenated with their own fat, among them an 84-year-old with earlier facelifts, shown two years after treatment.
A facelift approach shaped by more than 30 years of practice and the belief that facial aging is mostly volume loss.
He restores lost facial volume with your own fat, so the face looks younger rather than stretched.
Skin is redraped after the SMAS is tightened with permanent stitches, so the face looks refreshed, not pulled.
Dr. Grossman’s facelift techniques are designed so most patients need no drain tubes, compression garments or special pillows.
Facelifts are performed in his AAAHC-accredited Brooklyn surgery center, and patients go home the same day.

He pioneered calf augmentation with fat grafting in 1995 and, by his practice's count, has performed more than 4,500 calf augmentations. A facelift removes excess skin and tightens the underlying muscle layer to restore younger contours to the face and jawline. Dr. Grossman recommends either a SMAS or a deep plane facelift based on your aging pattern, tightens the SMAS with permanent stitches and removes skin without undue tension, so you look refreshed rather than pulled. He often adds fat grafting to replace lost volume, and whether your plan is a mini or total lift, with or without the neck or fat, depends on your anatomy.
