Facial Fat Grafting
Small amounts of fat go wherever the face has hollowed, such as the cheekbones, temples, jaw and tear troughs, following a plan drawn from your younger photos, restoring contour without incisions on the face.
Facial Lipofilling and Fat Grafting with Dr. Leonard Grossman uses your own fat, harvested gently, purified and rich in stem cells, to rebuild cheeks, temples, jawline and under-eye areas. He has refined this Organic Plastic Surgery technique since 1993 and plans each case from photos of your younger self, aiming for the face you had when you were younger rather than a tightened one.

Three ways Dr. Grossman uses your own fat to rejuvenate the face, from fat grafting alone to fat with a facelift.
Small amounts of fat go wherever the face has hollowed, such as the cheekbones, temples, jaw and tear troughs, following a plan drawn from your younger photos, restoring contour without incisions on the face.
Harvested with a blunt needle and syringe, then processed, cleansed and centrifuged to keep the most viable fat and stem cells before it is placed.
For loose skin plus volume loss, a facelift tightens the deeper layers while grafted fat refills hollows; where and how much fat to use is settled well before surgery day.
Facial lipofilling replaces the volume your face loses with time, using fat taken from your abdomen or thighs. Dr. Leonard Grossman believes aging is driven mainly by this “deflation,” not by gravity, so he restores fullness where it used to be rather than pulling skin tight. The procedure is done under twilight sedation, and recovery is light: scarring is minimal and regular activities resume within days. The fat that survives integrates and stays, typically after a single session.

Patients describe how fat grafting restored a fresher face that still looks like their own.
More than 30 years of experience and a fat-first philosophy that restores volume instead of pulling skin.
Organic Plastic Surgery uses your purified fat and its stem cells instead of synthetic fillers or implants.
Photos from your younger years show where volume was lost, so the result resembles you, not someone new.
Your procedure is done under twilight sedation in an AAAHC-accredited outpatient center in Brooklyn, with same-day discharge.
Bruising and swelling usually settle over about two weeks, with no garments, narcotics or special pillows.

Reconstructive and Plastic Surgeon
Dr. Leonard Grossman is a Brooklyn, New York City plastic and reconstructive surgeon with more than 30 years of experience and a pioneer of Organic Plastic Surgery, using patients' own fat in place of synthetic materials. He earned his medical degree from New York Medical College in 1985, completed his internship and General Surgery residency at Beth Israel Medical Center, and completed fellowships in Microsurgery at Montefiore Hospital and Burns and Reconstruction at Jacobi Hospital. In 1995 he completed a fully accredited plastic surgery residency at Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Texas; his practice reports he became the first American plastic surgeon to use Ultrasound Assisted Liposuction that year. He pioneered calf augmentation with fat grafting in 1995 and, by his practice's count, has performed more than 4,500 calf augmentations. He operates at his fully accredited (AAAHC) surgery center at 3039 Emmons Ave in Brooklyn. Recognized by the Castle Connolly Guide, Vitals.com and RateMDs.com, he is dedicated to privacy, professionalism, and helping patients make informed decisions about their care.
Dr. Grossman quotes each plan individually rather than posting a price, since fat grafting costs vary significantly by geographic location and by the patient. For fat transfer, cost depends on the extent of surgery, the areas treated and how much fat is harvested and transferred; adding a SMAS or deep plane facelift adds operating time and cost. Many patients find fat grafting alone restores what they miss, which he will tell you honestly. Patient financing through Cherry or Prosper Healthcare Lending can spread the cost.
Ask Dr. Grossman whether your own fat, a lift or both fits your face.
