Rhinoplasty Surgery
Open or closed rhinoplasty that can lift, shorten or refine the tip and adjust the bridge and width of the nose, planned so the result looks natural rather than operated on.
Explore bulbous nose rhinoplasty before and after photos and how Dr. Leonard Grossman approaches a broad or rounded nasal tip. With more than 30 years in practice, he plans open or closed rhinoplasty to refine the tip in proportion with your face, performs it at his Brooklyn, NYC surgery center, and offers the Nose Job in a Bottle when filler can achieve the change.

Tip-focused nose reshaping options from Dr. Grossman, surgical and non-surgical.
Open or closed rhinoplasty that can lift, shorten or refine the tip and adjust the bridge and width of the nose, planned so the result looks natural rather than operated on.
The Nose Job in a Bottle, a 5 to 10 minute filler treatment through a microcannula that can lift and refine the tip’s outline without surgery.
A chin implant, alone or with rhinoplasty, can balance the profile; in one gallery case a chin implant alone made it look as if the patient had rhinoplasty.
A bulbous tip usually comes from broad tip cartilage, thick skin or both, and it can make the whole nose look heavier. Dr. Leonard Grossman evaluates the tip together with the bridge and the rest of your face, then plans open or closed rhinoplasty to lift, narrow or refine it so the result looks natural. Rhinoplasty is outpatient at his Brooklyn center, with local anesthesia and advanced sedation rather than general anesthesia as the practice standard (confirmed at consultation), so you go home the same day, and discomfort is minimal for most patients and manageable with over-the-counter medication. Where filler can achieve the goal, he may suggest his Nose Job in a Bottle instead of surgery.

His gallery shows closed rhinoplasty, straightening and nasal reduction one year after surgery. None is labeled a bulbous tip, but each shows the natural result he aims for.
A rhinoplasty approach that keeps your features recognizably yours, from a surgeon with more than 30 years of experience.
Fellowships in microsurgery and reconstruction, then a plastic surgery residency at Scott & White in Texas (1995).
The tip is reshaped in proportion with your bridge, chin and lips, not in isolation.
Rhinoplasty is performed in his AAAHC-accredited Brooklyn center as an outpatient procedure.
He tells you plainly whether surgery, filler or no treatment will serve your nose best.

Often, yes. Rhinoplasty can reshape a broad or rounded nasal tip, and lifting or shortening the tip is among the changes Dr. Grossman makes. How much refinement is possible depends on the tip cartilage, the thickness of your skin and the rest of the nose, so he examines all three before recommending an open or closed approach. Very thick skin can limit how defined a tip becomes, and he will tell you so honestly. With a closed approach the incisions stay inside the nostrils; an open approach adds a small incision between the nostrils that is designed to heal as a fine, discreet scar.
