Facelift Procedures
A deep plane or SMAS facelift chosen for your aging pattern, often combined with fat grafting, with incisions along the hairline and around the ear.
Dr. Leonard Grossman performs facelift surgery in New York City with one goal: you should look like a younger version of yourself, not like you have been in a wind tunnel. He chooses a deep plane or SMAS facelift for your aging pattern and often combines it with fat grafting, which he has used in the face since 1993. Skin is removed without undue tension, and his facelift techniques are designed so most patients need no drain tubes or compression garments.

Facial lifting and volume restoration combined according to how your face has aged.

Midface lifting through an incision inside the mouth and a small temple-hairline incision, or by restoring cheek volume with your own fat.
Corset platysmaplasty, ultrasound-assisted liposuction and Renuvion tightening to define the jawline, often done with the facelift.
Dr. Leonard Grossman does not believe gravity is the main cause of facial aging; he sees it as gradual volume loss. That is why his facelift often pairs a deep plane or SMAS lift with fat grafting, so the face is supported from within rather than stretched. Before surgery he studies your younger photos and plans where and how much fat to place, and the procedure, which typically takes several hours, is performed at his Brooklyn surgery center.

His facial fat grafting gallery includes a 78-year-old woman who did not want a facelift and a patient first treated at 70 and seen again at 74.
Facelift surgery guided by his Organic Plastic Surgery philosophy: restore what aging has deflated and keep you looking like yourself.
His facelifts often combine a SMAS or deep plane lift with fat grafting to restore lost volume.
Skin is redraped without undue tension, so you look refreshed rather than pulled.
Surgery takes place in his AAAHC-accredited Brooklyn surgery center: private, outpatient, home the same day.
He studies photos of you from earlier years to restore your own features, not a generic look.

Reconstructive and Plastic Surgeon
Dr. Leonard Grossman is a Brooklyn, New York City plastic and reconstructive surgeon with more than 30 years of experience and a pioneer of Organic Plastic Surgery, using patients' own fat in place of synthetic materials. He earned his medical degree from New York Medical College in 1985, completed his internship and General Surgery residency at Beth Israel Medical Center, and completed fellowships in Microsurgery at Montefiore Hospital and Burns and Reconstruction at Jacobi Hospital. In 1995 he completed a fully accredited plastic surgery residency at Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Texas; his practice reports he became the first American plastic surgeon to use Ultrasound Assisted Liposuction that year. He pioneered calf augmentation with fat grafting in 1995 and, by his practice's count, has performed more than 4,500 calf augmentations. He operates at his fully accredited (AAAHC) surgery center at 3039 Emmons Ave in Brooklyn. Recognized by the Castle Connolly Guide, Vitals.com and RateMDs.com, he is dedicated to privacy, professionalism, and helping patients make informed decisions about their care.
Facelift cost varies significantly by geographic location and by the individual face, so Dr. Grossman gives each patient a personalized quote at consultation. The figure depends on whether you need a mini facelift for the lower face and jawline or a total facelift, whether the neck is treated at the same time, and how much fat grafting is added to restore volume. Surgery is outpatient rather than in a hospital, so there is no hospital stay to pay for, and financing options are available through Cherry and Prosper Healthcare Lending.
Ask whether you need lifting, volume or both, and what your quote would include.
Patients from across New York City come to Dr. Grossman's Brooklyn surgery center for facelift consultation, surgery and follow-up.
