Facelift Techniques
Patients asking about an endoscopic facelift are evaluated for Dr. Grossman’s SMAS or deep plane facelift, with incisions hidden in the hairline and around the ear; the choice between them is made at consultation.
Endoscopic facelift and neck lift surgery is one of several ways to rejuvenate the face and neck. Dr. Leonard Grossman recommends a SMAS or deep plane facelift based on your aging pattern, tightens the neck with a corset platysmaplasty, ultrasound-assisted liposuction or Renuvion, and often adds fat grafting so you look like yourself, not like you were in a wind tunnel. Which lift fits your face is decided at consultation.

Facelift, neck lift and fat grafting options matched to your aging pattern and skin quality.

A corset platysmaplasty tightens the neck muscles, often with ultrasound-assisted liposuction and Renuvion, through small, well-hidden incisions.
Your own purified fat restores the cheeks, temples and jawline, either alongside a facelift or as an alternative to one.
Endoscopic facelift and neck lift surgery is often what patients search for when the jawline softens and the neck loosens. Dr. Grossman’s answer is a SMAS or deep plane facelift chosen for your aging pattern, with incisions in the hairline and around the ear placed to follow natural creases for minimal visible scarring, deeper tissues tightened with permanent stitches, and skin removed without undue tension. For the neck he adds a corset platysmaplasty, ultrasound-assisted liposuction or Renuvion, often restoring volume with fat grafting at the same time.

His facial fat grafting gallery includes a 78-year-old woman who did not want a facelift, treated with 100 cc of her own fat.
Facelift and neck lift surgery guided by his Organic Plastic Surgery philosophy of restoring volume, not just pulling skin.
A SMAS or deep plane facelift is chosen for how your face has aged, not by default.
His facelifts often add fat grafting, restoring volume so you look like yourself, just younger.
Skin is removed without undue tension, so the result looks refreshed rather than pulled.
His techniques are designed so most patients need no drain tubes, compression garments or special pillows after surgery.

Reconstructive and Plastic Surgeon
Dr. Leonard Grossman is a Brooklyn, New York City plastic and reconstructive surgeon with more than 30 years of experience and a pioneer of Organic Plastic Surgery, using patients' own fat in place of synthetic materials. He earned his medical degree from New York Medical College in 1985, completed his internship and General Surgery residency at Beth Israel Medical Center, and completed fellowships in Microsurgery at Montefiore Hospital and Burns and Reconstruction at Jacobi Hospital. In 1995 he completed a fully accredited plastic surgery residency at Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Texas; his practice reports he became the first American plastic surgeon to use Ultrasound Assisted Liposuction that year. He pioneered calf augmentation with fat grafting in 1995 and, by his practice's count, has performed more than 4,500 calf augmentations. He operates at his fully accredited (AAAHC) surgery center at 3039 Emmons Ave in Brooklyn. Recognized by the Castle Connolly Guide, Vitals.com and RateMDs.com, he is dedicated to privacy, professionalism, and helping patients make informed decisions about their care.
An endoscopic facelift uses a thin camera and short incisions, usually in the scalp, to lift the brow and midface, and is generally suited to early laxity. Dr. Grossman’s facial surgery centers on a SMAS or deep plane facelift chosen for your aging pattern and often combined with fat grafting, because he sees aging mostly as volume loss. He chooses between SMAS and deep plane at consultation, along with the neck technique and how much fat to add, so the components of your surgery reflect your own anatomy rather than a fixed recipe.
