Upper Eyelid Lift
Upper blepharoplasty removes excess skin and fat through the natural crease, for a more alert look and, for heavy lids, clearer vision.
Dr. Leonard Grossman performs blepharoplasty and eyelid surgery in New York City with a conservative, natural-looking approach. Upper lid incisions sit in the natural crease, lower-lid fat is often removed through an incision hidden inside the eyelid, and CO2 laser can refine the skin. Surgery is done under local anesthesia, with or without sedation, at his Brooklyn surgery center, and most patients return to desk work the next day.

Upper, lower and combined eyelid surgery, plus double eyelid surgery and ptosis repair.
Upper blepharoplasty removes excess skin and fat through the natural crease, for a more alert look and, for heavy lids, clearer vision.
Lower blepharoplasty treats bags and loose skin, often through the inside of the lid, with a skin pinch or CO2 laser added only when needed.
An exam of your lids, brows and under-eye volume, photographs, and an honest recommendation with a detailed cost breakdown.
Blepharoplasty with Dr. Leonard Grossman starts with a question: is the tired look caused by excess skin, by fat bulging under the eyes, or by volume lost around the eyes? He removes skin and fat only where they are truly excessive, hides upper incisions in the crease, and removes lower-lid fat from inside the lid when he can. Surgery takes about one to two hours under local anesthesia, with or without sedation, at his Brooklyn surgery center.

His blepharoplasty gallery includes a 60-year-old man after transconjunctival surgery and a 72-year-old man after upper lid surgery.
Conservative eyelid surgery that removes only what is truly excess and restores volume where it is lost.
Upper incisions sit in the natural crease; lower-lid fat is often removed from inside the lid.
Home the same day, minimal discomfort managed with Tylenol, and no compression garments or narcotics.
Eyelid surgery takes place in his AAAHC-accredited Brooklyn surgery center: private and outpatient.
When hollowness, not excess skin, causes the tired look, he may restore it with your own fat.

Reconstructive and Plastic Surgeon
Dr. Leonard Grossman is a Brooklyn, New York City plastic and reconstructive surgeon with more than 30 years of experience and a pioneer of Organic Plastic Surgery, using patients' own fat in place of synthetic materials. He earned his medical degree from New York Medical College in 1985, completed his internship and General Surgery residency at Beth Israel Medical Center, and completed fellowships in Microsurgery at Montefiore Hospital and Burns and Reconstruction at Jacobi Hospital. In 1995 he completed a fully accredited plastic surgery residency at Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Texas; his practice reports he became the first American plastic surgeon to use Ultrasound Assisted Liposuction that year. He pioneered calf augmentation with fat grafting in 1995 and, by his practice's count, has performed more than 4,500 calf augmentations. He operates at his fully accredited (AAAHC) surgery center at 3039 Emmons Ave in Brooklyn. Recognized by the Castle Connolly Guide, Vitals.com and RateMDs.com, he is dedicated to privacy, professionalism, and helping patients make informed decisions about their care.
Blepharoplasty cost varies significantly by geographic location and by your eyelid anatomy, so Dr. Grossman quotes it individually: the cost depends on whether the upper lids, lower lids or both are treated, how complex the surgery is and which techniques are used, such as a lower-lid skin pinch or CO2 laser. His office provides a detailed, transparent breakdown of costs at your initial consultation. Surgery is outpatient rather than in a hospital, and financing options are available through Cherry and Prosper Healthcare Lending.
Ask whether your eyes need skin removed, fat removed or volume restored.
