Iggy Azalea made news this week when she cancelled her nationwide tour. The rapper recently got engaged to Lakers player Nick Young, and rather than spending her time on tour, it looks like she’ll be doing some wedding planning.
According to E! Online, Azalea also has been using the time off to address some plastic surgery rumors. On Twitter, Azalea listed multiple plastic surgery rumors that have been swarming around, namely, that she’s had multiple nose jobs, chin jobs, and face lifts. Azalea firmly explained that these rumors are simply not true.
Azalea, however, does not deny that she has had plastic surgery. In March she announced that she underwent breast augmentation surgery.
Azalea explained via Twitter that: “Cosmetic surgery can be great; happy with mine. What’s wrong is people body shaming others.”
Iggy Azalea had spoken frankly about plastic surgery with Vogue explaining that she decided to go under the knife in order to allow herself to look more proportional.
Okay, so Azalea hasn’t had multiple nose jobs, face lifts, or chin jobs, but will she have pre-wedding plastic surgery?
According to YouBeauty, more women are electing to go under knife before they say “I do.”
Women who are planning to walk down the aisle seek out plastic surgery to make sure that they look their best on the happiest day of their lives. While some women look into minor procedures like tattoo removal and Botox, others look for more dramatic results. For instance, some women seek out plastic surgeons for breast augmentations.
Women who are celebrating a second marriage or who have had children, will sometimes seek out a “mommy makeover” to make sure that they look refreshed and young on their big day. Mommy makeovers can include procedures ranging from tummy tucks to breast augmentation.
For many women, the choice to undergo plastic surgery before the big day can be a rite of passage. Women are looking to start a new life and they want to experience that change in all aspects of their lives—inside and out.
Yet, plastic surgery is a serious commitment—not one that should be taken lightly. Even so, the benefits can be immense. Some women even report that plastic surgery has helped them quit smoking before they walk down the aisle. Quitting smoking before plastic surgery can result in faster healing and is recommended by doctors.
