 What is Gynecomastia?
Gynecomastia is a condition, where a male develops breast growth that resembles a female breast, commonly called “man boob”. Gynecomastia causes a great deal of embarrassment to the patients who have it. This “male breast” condition can be seen in as many as 30% of all men to a variable degree.
What is the cause of Gynecomastia?
In some patients Gynecomastia is of hereditary nature, in some hormonal or associated with disease and in others it is linked to certain medication use.
How is the procedure done?

In a small group of patients, in whom Liposuction may not be of benefit, resection of the Gynecomastia tissue is necessary. Only approximately 5% of all patients fall into this category. In these cases the approach is more individualized and must be discussed with Dr. Grossman.
